Ban Chang Bowls Club opened in February 2017. It is located just off Phala Road, not far from the Garden International and R.E.P.S schools (see maps below). It was opened by two well known locals Aussies; Al from Al’s Deli and the larger than life Mr Charlie.
Update – we understand that the Ban Chang Bowls Club closed, permanently, at the end of February 2018. If anything changes we will let you know.
It is an indoor Bowling Club – protected from rain by a full roof but open at the sides to allow a natural flow of air through. It has many fans all around the green and bar area to keep you cool! As you can see from the images it is a very large facility.
As well as the obvious bowling green, which as you can see is HUGE, there is a well stocked bar, two good quality pool tables, two dart boards and a large screen TV showing sports. Food is available on the premises – the menu is small but varied with both Thai and Western food. I can personally vouch for the Bangers and Mash which also got the thumbs up form a 13 year old so must be good.
Wide selection of bowls for hire – 2 makes and many sizes.

Ban Chang Bowls Club Location
The map below is accurate but some of the roads around the club simply did not exist when Google Maps last updated. However, there is a fairly easy way to direct you as follows.
Driving down Phala Road (from Tesco/Sukhumvit end) go past Eastern Star until you see the large Garden International School building on the right hand side. Turn right as if going to the school. Immediately after the school wall turn left – this takes you past the front of their sister school R.E.P.S. Drive past REPS and stay on that small road. After a couple of bends you will start to see signs for “Bowls Club” – the first being a right turn when you see a large orange bungalow/house. From that point the road is very narrow and bendy but just follow the signs and you can’t miss it.
